Nuances of
Cruise With A Cause
How about
some selling tips for those of you that don't often sell Christian cruises.
Christian travel is a big, growing market, but you need to know how to mine it
successfully. As one who is a "born again Christian", maybe I can throw some
tidbits your way to help you better understand the "Christian prospect" better.
No
Alcohol or Casinos
As we've discussed,
Cruise With A Cause is a full
charter of Carnival's Imagination. As a result, they have the latitude to
do things (or not do things) that a standard cruise would not permit. For
example, no alcohol will be served during the cruise nor will the casinos be
open. Now, I know that some of you are rolling your eyes and saying,
"Well, then who would want to go?" The fact is, to many of your Christian
clients this is a big plus. Even if they are not total tea-tottlers and
enjoy the occasional adult beverage, they don't always appreciate the drink and
gambling culture of many modern cruises. As a result, make sure that you
push the the "no alcohol or casinos" fact when you meet with prospects.
Sharing
The Excitement
To Christians, their personal relationship with God is the
most exciting thing to ever happen in their life. Unlike many religions,
the goal of most folks of this ilk is to share the excitement, not push for
converts for the sake of increased numbers. To this extent, don't hesitate
to point out that the past two Cruises With A Cause saw over 8,000 people make
decisions to follow Christ. Being a part of such a successful effort will
excite many of your Christian cruise passengers.
Missionary
Work
Along the same lines as the point above, let your
prospects know that that this is way more than a Christian oriented vacation.
They will also have the chance to be "missionaries for the day". Here's a
glance at the line up:
Daytime Options (For Wednesday,
October 8th)- School Ministry (Over 3500 decisions for Christ through this part last year)
- Street Witnessing Ministry (Led by the Great News Network)
- Prison Ministry (Led by former wrestlers - 70 were saved in the prison last
year)
- Prayer Ministry
Evening Options
- Crusade Event (Led by PraiseFest Ministries)
- Children’s Ministry at the Crusade
Benefits
of Developing Your Faith-Based Travel Business
If you have not developed a faith-based cliental
following, you are missing a huge opportunity. Whether you are
an atheist or a holy roller, it should not matter on
this issue. In the retail travel industry, it's about your clients and their
desires, not yours.
If you have developed your faith-based market, you
really need to jump right on this chance to sell
Cruise With A Cause
right now. Space is selling fast and your clients need to be
a part of one of the largest Christian events of the year!
