The Last Train To Leave The Station:
A Fond Farewell To VIA Rail Canada

Sadly, after years together, VIA Rail Canada will no longer be utilizing the efforts of TravelSalesRep.com.  This comes in the wake of the company's mass layoff of non-Canadian sales staff and contractors.

TravelSalesRep.com was the last state-side travel agent sales representative to serve the retailers of all fifty United States (as well as the Canadian provinces).  Know that I have nothing but great things to say about the company and strongly encourage you to continue using them for your rail needs.  Over the years I had the chance to work with Tom Little as well as Ali Macaraeg, both of whom were top notch, both as collegues and friends.

While VIA Rail Canada will no longer maintain a representative in the "lower 48" as aid to travel agent productivity, their offering will continue to be available within various tour operator packages and they will continue to offer their travel agent support lines, the info about which may be found on their website.

Thanks also to all of you that supported VIA Rail so steadfastly.  Their contact page was consistently one of the most viewed of all pages on TravelSalesRep.com.  That means that VIA Rail was one of your favorites and that you'll miss them as much as I will.
